astronomy or star gazing? Hermanus Quads hosts
interactive astronomy presentations for star-gazing
enthusiasts. Our night sky talks are conducted on
Quad Bikes High on the Mountains surrounding
Hermanus.
One of the
awe-inspiring sights that will await you if you come
to Hermanus from the city, is the brilliant display
of a starry African night sky. With zero
light-pollution around you, the heavens take on a
whole new splendor, especially on a clear, moonless
night. Take a closer look at the famous Southern
Cross, Orion, Jupiter's moons, Saturn's rings,
various stars, moon craters, even satellites and
shooting stars. Your knowledgeable guide will make
the night sky come alive to you with a
spell-binding, interactive presentation.

Sun Downer and Sun Set ride +- 2H00
Start the
tour on one of South Africans most renowned Wine
Farms – Hamilton Russell Vineyards.
Depart from
the tasting room with a selection of wines in hand
(to be sampled on the viewing point) Take a ride
through the vineyards and up the mountain. Once the
viewing point is reached the guide will explain the
Walkerbay ocean reserve (whales can be viewed in
season). Incredible breathtaking views as far as
the eye can see will allow you to experience an
African sunset unlike any other.

Mountain and Vineyards Drive +- 1h30
This route
takes you through the world renowned vineyards of
Hamilton Russell and Southern Right wineries.
Travel up the mountain and through the fynbos
kingdom. This route takes you into the Fernkloof
nature reserve and your half way point is one if the
most pristine look out points in the Western Cape.
From here you will see as far as the eye can see.
(Cameras on this trip is a absolute must).

Woodlands Adventure trip +- 1H00
Travel
through the Forrest and plantations on an adventure
into the woods and mountain. This trip is compact
but gives a good adventure punch. After a good
spell of rain this trip also allows for a few water
hazards and stream crossings.
