We are halfway through 2009 and
what will you be doing on those wintry, languorous June
afternoons? The Nosy Rosy sisters are not implying that you
should be lackadaisical - there are simply not enough hours in
the day! We do have a few suggestions up our sleeve though!
Every silver lining has a dark cloud says our wise new columnist
- Marinda Louw. She is a dear friend of Nosy Rosy, a passionate
cook - an adventurous world traveller, a photographer par
excellence, a journalist, the list is endless,
read her column and decide for yourself.
Father's Day - on 21 June
- is a day
of commemoration and celebration of Dad -the special man in our
lives. We often forget the sacrifice of our fathers and the roles
they have played in shaping our lives. Father's Day gives us the
opportunity to show and express our love and care to this man,
who deserves our support most!
Nosy Rosy is letting her imagination run wild and compiling a
Photobook (with which she will be jetting off to Gauteng in
June to impress) - courtesy of
Kees from FotoFirst. Make
your way to Fotofirst today and create a keepsake for future
generations!

The Little Shoppe was born just over a year ago. Their aim has
always been to sell only locally produced products and to
showcase work of artists from in and around our community. With
a small budget and an even smaller space - the shoppe opened
it's doors in March 2008. The reaction to the idea was
overwhelming, as was the realisation that there are many very
talented artists, especially from the local township who where
more than struggling to make ends meet.
